Incline Walk
How to
Machine- 1 Set the treadmill to a 10–15% incline.
- 2 Walk at 4–6 km/h without holding the rails.
- 3 Reduce incline gradually to cool down.
Tips
- Build up the incline over a few sessions; calves and shins need time to adapt.
- Stand tall and take shorter steps than on flat ground.
- It raises the heart rate like jogging with far less impact.
Common mistakes
- Holding the rails, which takes most of the effort away.
- Leaning far forward from the waist.
- Starting at the steepest incline on the first day.
