Privacy policy

What the app collects

Nothing. Volu(me) has no account, no sign-up and no login. The app makes no network requests of its own, contains no analytics or crash-reporting libraries, no advertising and no third-party code. We do not know who uses the app, how often, or what they log.

Where your data is

Everything you enter (your plan, workouts, sessions, custom exercises, notes, tracked lifts and settings) is stored on your iPhone in the app’s own storage. It stays there unless you choose one of the following.

Backup to Files. You can save a full backup as a JSON file to the Files app at any time. The file is yours: it goes wherever you put it, and we never see it.

iCloud sync (Pro, off by default). If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, the app copies your data into the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account (CloudKit container iCloud.app.volu.ios). That database belongs to you, is protected by your Apple Account, and is not readable by us. Apple’s own iCloud terms and privacy policy apply to it. Turning sync off stops the copying; erasing the app’s data removes it from iCloud as well.

Apple Health (Pro, when available). Once the connection is built, and only if you turn it on, the app writes one workout record per saved session (start time, end time and the activity type) to Apple Health. It writes no calories and reads nothing back. Health data never enters iCloud sync through Volu(me).

Siri and Shortcuts (Pro). Voice phrases and Shortcuts actions run on your device. They send nothing to us.

Purchases

Volu(me) Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and holds the receipt. We do not receive your name, address, card details or Apple Account information. Managing or cancelling a subscription happens in your Apple Account settings.

Notifications

The rest-timer notification and the lock-screen timer are local to your iPhone. No push service is involved.

This website

The site stores your language and theme choices in your own browser (a cookie named volu_lang and a local storage entry named volu_theme). They identify nothing about you and are not sent to us for any other purpose. The site loads no analytics script. It is served by Cloudflare, whose servers see the technical details of every request (IP address, browser type) as any web host does and show us aggregate traffic counts; Cloudflare’s privacy policy applies to that.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Because the app collects nothing, changes are expected to be rare and small.
